Rush Hour Stops Responding

For reasons beyond my understanding, Rush Hour has started hanging on my system lately. Generally, I can play for probably half an hour before the game stops responding, whereupon I alt-tab to the desktop and end the game via the Task Manager. Despite my powers of reasoning, and downloading/installing hardly anything from here since reinstalling RH, I have yet to pinpoint the cause of the problem. My computer's specs are available in my profile; I have the following mods installed:

Network Addon Mod with Automata, diagonal streets, custon highway menu, and better pathfinding/5x capacity/10x speeds plugins
    Day of Peace (Maxis)
One Flag Many Nations - USA
The Maxis building prop mods (vols. 1 and 2)
    Bridge Height mod
    RH Dataview mod
    Game Coding Errors Fix v2
    Graph mod v2
    Industry Quadrupler
    Large Services Doubler
    Limitless Beach
    Malls Doubler
    Office Stage Caps
    Opera House fix
    Parking Fines Ordinance
    City Halls Unlocked
    Landmarks and other missing props
ST Prop mods: RCI and Euro
    Rewards Unlocked, original and RH
    Residential Stage Caps
    Road Top MT
    Services Doubler
    Snow-Capped Mountains (lower elevation)
    Transportation Map mods 1A & 1B
    U2 Patch

If a list of installed lots is requested, I can compile one. As part of my attempts to solve this problem, I removed the NAM turning lane plugins, the Super Demand mod (and an alteration to it of my own design), the ST plop mods, and several lots that were growing on smaller lots than were appropriate for them (among them the Dual Ninja Gaiden Towers). Might anyone be able to help?

Your specifications fall within the minimum requirements.

You should try ending uneccesary tasks using the task manager. The background tasks and processes sometimes 'tax' the system's memory. End all the tasks, except explorer.exe and process entries marked 'SYSTEM', 'LOCAL SERVICE' and 'NETWORK SERVICE'.

According to your profile you have only 512MB of real memory. I hope you have enough virtual memory set up. Your page file should be somewhere around 1536MB minimum and 2048MB Maximum. Do not let Windows manage this. Gates & Co. can't program an O/S worth the time to slide it into the bit bucket.

SC4 is a ram hog and you might just be running out of ram after playing that long.  Make sure you save every 15 minutes or so and you won't lose so much when it happens.  Usually a conflict between mods causes the game to crash not freeze. If you believe the problem is with the mods you have installed then the simple solution is to remove them all from your plugin file and add them back in one at at time, playing for awhile in between.  If that doesn't make any difference then their not part of your problem.  If it does make a difference then adding them back one at a time will eventually lead you to the culprit.  You may have to do the same with your lots and bats.  Good Luck in solving your problem. 10.gif
