This is probably the worst thing that could happen, considering I am so close to finalizing my lot.

I was editing my item description when ILIVE crashed. I can load Ilive reader and select my .sc4LOT file and fill the list.

I can safely get this far.....

I can select all the entry files except the last one which is the building exemplar file when I click on it Ilive just closes automatically.

Anyone have any idea how to remedy this or know why this is happening?

The SC4TOOL opened the .sc4lot file without any problems. I dont have datgen so I couldnt try if it would work.

I tried to restart my pc and no changes.

Ilive opens other building exemplar files from other lots without any problems, it only closes when I try to open it for my LOT.

I am a little stumped because if the file was corrupt then wouldnt the SC4TOOL have issues with it as well.

Recalling the last steps that I remember doing: I was editing the text in the item description property, I was atempting to find an easier way to insert a descrition so that certain info. was left-side aligned when the description was viewed in game(rather than press space xx times). So I opened NotePad and inserted my description there and aligned it how I wanted it and tried to copy and paste the description into the item description text. It only copied the first line of about 15 lines so I tried to cancel so that the new text would not be applied. When I hit cancel it crashed.

On a side note is there a way that I can easily insert a text description into the item description property in the building exemplar file so that it aligns a certain way. Obviously NotePad doesn't work, but would WordPad or Word work.

    thanks,

I was able to replicate the problem but using a different method. I decided to completely re-mod the entire LOT going through all the steps of pluginmanager, loteditor, sc4tool, and Ilive. Here is what I did.

1.) I opened the rendered .sc4model file with the plugin-manager, modified it accordingly. Plug-in saved.(ALL OK)
2.) I then opened the .sc4desc file with Ilive-Reader and was able to open the building exemplar file to adjust the occupant size from a 16x10.25x32 size lot to a 1x10.25x1 size lot, (this was necessary for my lot to fit on a single tile, ALL OK)
3.)Loaded LotEditor and opened a random lot I had used before, I then aligned the building correctly and saved. (ALL OK)
4.) I then went back to Ilive-Reader reader and tried to open the .sc4lot file created from the LotEditor. When I tried to open the new building exemplar file it crashed again.32.gif

As far as I can see I wont be able to create any custom lots as it is right now. Ilive apparently is reading the .sc4desc file fine but the .sc4LOT file causes it to crash.

btw: I know item description is left-side aligned but I was wanting to add some line spacing and such so the description would be easier to read in-game. I know how to use HTML I just dont know were to apply it. I tried to search forums and have seen the LTEXT file however I dont know how to created one and apply it so that it shows-up in my item description.

    thanks again,
