Dual Core Processors - Benefits to SC4?

I read that Intel and AMD have both released dual core processors and new notebook and desktop makers have rushed out new configurations. As I understand it these new processor chips have two complete processing units allowing two programs to be executing simultaneously. Most modern OSs are built to support this in that they allow multi-threading.

 

OK all you SC4 architecture experts - how will this help us with SC4. Clearly large memory machines benefit and faster bus speeds but will SC4 take advantage of multithreading in its simulation logic? Wow if only it can!

The game is not set up to utilize dual core processors.  It's going to run on one processor only.  Sorry.
