Problem of desirability ?...

'lo all,
I have a little problem on my city : all was going very well, my city was growing quickly (it was reaching almost 50.000 pop). It was the only city of the region.
But suddenly all the desirability level for the commerces fall from the highest level to the lowest (especially for the CO $$$), everywhere on the map ! All my commercial zones are abandonned, due to the low desirability. And that happens everywhere my city is built (I mean, where nothing is build, the desirability level stayed at green, but everywhere res are or something else (even where landmarks are), the level fall in red. All that I have done is build train transit system around the city, and build an another city in the map beside (an only farming city)...
Can somebody explain me what could happen ? This is very annoying, and I can't find what is it because of...
Thanks a lot

(if this isn't enough clear, i'll post screenshots the next time)

Thanks for the help but... is it possible that the desirability level fall suddenly like that ? Everywhere ?
It's so crazy !! My city is falling into ruins !!14.gif8.gif8.gif
So... I guess i'll have to begin a new one...
Is there something that can radically boost up it ?? (is there a mod, or a lot that does that ?...) I'm so bored of beginning new cities...28.gif8.gif

I don't agree with that Omnibus article in the part where it talks about the relationship between demand and abandonment. I've never seen buildings abandon just because the demand bars are negative. I can crank taxes up to 20%, and the people and jobs stick around just fine. (Nobody else moves in, but they don't move out either.)

There is a mod to boost demand - and give you control over other ordinances - ok its a cheat and many dont like cheats - its called Radical Ordinance Mod and can be found under the modding files tab on the front page menu - hope it answers yer frustrations !! lol

    Sim1234, bones1, delboysim, pushkin,

thanks for you answers... Don't bother anymore, my city is dead, i'll begin a new one...

    Pushkin,
thanks a lot for your help. Indeed I was having the same problem as you. But I think the bug I've had was even more vicious than your's : I was obligated to destruct many of commercials and residentials zones to see the desirability go one green... Si my mayor rank was going down as one goes along as I was destructing the bats... So my city goes rapidly to hell 7.gif32.gif9.gif9.gif
So... I think i'll begin a new one, with the help of the tutorials and advises I've found on your page... thanks anymore for your help, it was very interesting... and as Toroca said : Take it slow, and let it grow...9.gif9.gif
    Thanks again
    see you

    Oh, one more thing...

    BEWARE OF DOWNLOADED BATs.

Many of the BATs found on ST (and most of the BATs found elsewhere!) do not have internal stats that are balanced with the default in-game buildings. If these stats are way off (such as too much garbage, too many jobs, etc.), it can seriously wreck your city.

Try deleting all BATs from your plugin folder, and reintroduce BATs gradually. Make sure to check for things like garbage, pollution, etc. around the buildings. Also make sure the pop or jobs is not crazy for that building, compared to others in your city.
