Avoiding Crashes

I'm a returning player after YEARS away.  Trying to understand MODS.  Downloaded the Network addon (NAM).  Result: program still loaded brought up my region with its cities but when I tried to open a city, the program closed after about 30 seconds. No error messages, just closed back to the EA desktop.   Once I emptied my "plug-in" folder, problem went away.  It would seem that there is some other utility program that needs to be run BEFORE installing the NAM.  Looking for help.  Thanks.

First, reset the Plugins folder by uninstalling all the mods you have installed.

Then install SC4pac
