Getting back into SimCity 4 after almost a decade of absence and still trying to wrap my head around this new Draggable Flex Curves mechanic. As if learning to deal with Puzzle Pieces was difficult enough several years ago *:???:

So anyway, what's the pattern to complete this NWM Wide 90° turn?

As you can see I can get the two upper curve sections to show, but the very top and the bottom of the curve is giving me some trouble.

Also should I just reinstall NAM 48 and just re-select the Legacy Puzzle pieces option to make things easier for me? LOL

The RD-6 network does not support sharp 90° turns like that, and never has--puzzle piece or otherwise.

Maybe you can transition to another network for the 90˚ corner, like the default maxis avenue.

I play SimCity 4 and make videos of it.

I could go into a 45º diagonal turn on both westbound and Northbound roads by bulldozing three more tiles away from where they're supposed to meet/turn but it just looks darn ugly because I don't know the pattern to do the draggable smooth 45º turn for RD-6.

But I guess the cheesier solution is just making an intersection instead...

The RD-6 smooth 45° curves don't have drag patterns--there's a set of FLEX Pieces that cover the split-tile Road-based dual-tile networks . . . they'll initially look like TLA-5 curves when you plop them, but you can drag RD-6 into them and they'll convert.
