SimCity 4 on Windows 10

Hello everyone. I'm having a problem with my SimCity 4. I have it on physical media at version 1.1.613.0 (Deluxe Edition) and tried to install it on my Windows 10 (64-bit). As soon as I installed the game (divided into two CDs) I was eager to run it. But when I opened it, nothing happened. You don't even want an error message.

So I ran after information on the internet and found that if I downloaded such a "NO-CD" corresponding to my version, I would solve the problem. It turns out that I found nowhere a NO-CD for my version (from what I saw, the NO-CD replaces the .exe of SimCity 4 with a version compatible with Windows 10).

Please help me! I believe that other people with the same problem as me will benefit from your help.

Signed, A DESPERATE PLAYER OF SimCity 4

Hi and welcome to the site.

There is no way to make this disc version run reliably on windows 10. Microsoft removed support for the SECDRV.sys that SC4 used for DRM from Windows 10, best way around is to purchase a digital download version from gog.com or similar.

Steam or Origin/EA used to have a facility to let players with a disc version upgrade to digital copy (I don't know if its still active), however do not download the version from Origin (EA's online store) as it is unpatched and unpatchable.

As a side note, we are not allowed to discuss NO-CD options on this site. This can bring repercussions from EA that we'd sooner avoid altogether.

Is there no way to fix this with the NO-CD specific to my version (1.1.613.0)?

This site does not support NO-CD mod .exe's of any kind. You will not get help for this here. Sorry man.

On Steam, the price is in R$11,90 (around US 2,14). Steam is getting an 80% discount. The Steam version runs on Windows 10?
