I cant play rushour!?

Im having a problem playing simcity 4. When I put the Rushour Disk in it doesn't load the game. All it shows is the picture with the bridge thats all.. And i reisntalled the game and still have the same problem! I have no problem of playing Simcity 4 WITHOUT the Rushour Pack. But when i put the rushour disk it doesnt let me play the game... meaning it doesnt load up. WHY IS THAT? can someone give some suggestions of what to do?? thank you

If the RH disk went though the install, you still need to apply the update 1 patch from the home site. Be sure you get the right one for your region.

okay ill do that... but i used to play Rushour fine.. I NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH it.. so the patch WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM??

okay i downloaded the patch and i still have the same problem.. isnt the patch supposed to fix bugs in the game??? but i really dont know what it is... lets say if i reboot my computer (Erase EVERYTHING) could that solve anything??? I was meaning to do that anyway but would that fix any bugs that I have in my computer??!

Wipe and reload is pretty drastic. Before resorting to that, did you do a virus scan? Have you done a defragmentation of your hard disk recently? Did you check to see if you have any adware?

What kind of protections are you running when you are on the net?

Please tell us more about your machine? There is a bug reporting sticky at the head of this list that details what we need to know.

Hi.

Do you get a pop-up message at the bridge image when you try to play? The one about inserting the correct CD...? or is it really 'just' the game hanging?

If it's the former, I might be able to help, since I went through the whole mess of the 'insert correct CD'
