Freeway Sign Requests

you can request a freeway sign from me here.  i do not do overhang signs, joeynymets does those, besides i don't know how.  i do however make the large signs you would find on the side of a freeway.  like the one in the pictures below.  i can make these for you, all you have to do is give me the number of the road (i.e. US 40, I-64) or the name of the road in which the exit is, an exit number can also be used.

nycsc4: thanks for including the gMax model in the zip - I already have the other ones by joeynymets, but it made modifying the signs to my liking alot easier.

Hello, theese signs look cool. Can you make me just like 5 basic exit signs, what i mean is just like a green sign with the arrow and number of the exits 1,2,3,4,5......if it isnt too much to ask, can you also make me a freways ends sign, the same exact thing as your second picture only with I-93..and U.S.-1..and also the same three signs that Qld_Matt asked for, but instead of it saying city, can it say Bostonia. Thank you very much. I am so bad on gmax plus i dont have the SC4 plugin anyway. Once again, thank you, i know it is alot of signs to make. myu email is asj90@aol.com

Hey I am trying to figure out this whole BAT thing. I think I can make these signs Magpieshooter wants. I have the model off the stex. If you would like I could start work on them.

thanks inuyasha fan, but the signs for magpieshooter are already done and have been released.  If you would like we can group together and make these signs together.  i will make some and you can make some, and then we can release them as packs let me know what you think, but when you reply please send me a PM, lets just keep this thread for requests.  also until the next request comes in all the signs have been completed, so keep an eye on this thread and if a new request comes in and you would like to do it, send me a PM and it is yours.  thanks a bunch!  and the model i have is the one off the stex the GHSDP one or something like that.

hey, is joeynymets still doing this? either your or him or someone finished a sign i wanted and showed it on here with some others, but he hasnt uploaded yet, and he said he'd be done a few days ago...

yes joeynymets is still doing this, he makes all of the overhang signs.  i only do the ones that are on the ground next to the highway.  what sign is it that was suppose to come out in the next few days?

I've been doing some experiments with those signs, and came up with these (the colours have specific meanings:

Red - Important info)
Green - standard guide sign/info
Blue - Public amenities
Maroon - Rail.
Brown - Tourist information sign (not shown)



I'm also trying to work out a colour to use for toll roads.

I've used the base texutre from PEG's current generation of random tree lots for the sake of continuity.

Not sure whether I'll release these or not - there'd be no models included though, because I forgot to save some of them before rendering. I'm also planning on doing a Service centre sign with symbols.

cammo2003:  great signs.  would you like to create a group (for lack of a better word) to create these signs?  i don't know how to do color or fonts, nor do i know how to import pictures.  i could handle the requests and make the models, and if the requesters would like a different color i could send you the model and you could do the colors and the different icons on the signs for them.  if you would like to let me know. i would be very happy to have somebody with your talent working with me on these signs.  thanks.

cammo2003: althought the sign colouration is excellent, would it not be better to follow the colouration seen in Aus., which would have the end motorway, merge right/left signs in white, railway stations, hospitals, universities and all other public ammenities in blue, directional signs in Green, Tourist Routes in Brown and Toll Roads in either yellow or purple. I must say though that most of them are correct.

highstreet, and haropro your signs are finished.  haropro, yours should be in your e-mail inbox and highstreet i am waiting for you to tell me what to do with yours.  ICFan, yours are in progress and may take a little longer to complete since there is so much data for each sign.  highstreet and haropro enjoy!!!  i am still accepting requests.  i am sorry i keep changing things but this time it is final,  you can request a sign here or through a PM, it does not matter to me.  I would ask that you please refrain from requesting signs in my cj though, it has seemed to stop, but i just wanted to clairfy it.  also i can now do overhang signs, but i am still having trouble with the highway badges on the overhangs, i can only put text on overhangs right now, like the example below.  thanks and keep requesting!

User Name:

e-mail address(unless you want them released on the STEX):

type of sign:  ground or overhang(overhangs can only be done like the one in the picture above)

type of road:  interstate, US Highway, state road, etc.

direction of the arrow

exit number

and any other text that you would like. (city name, state, etc.)

It's just me - but all my signs follow the US MUTCD standard.  It's a realistic, professional look that I really like.

1dera3:  my thread was only the second one.  as far as i know there are only three active ones and for the most part we all do different things. i think we are quite good and so do the other members. also this is a request thread, i am not asking for your comments.
