Hello .. i am wonderein how u guys get the exchange items into the game after u guys download it please help-;0

You extract the files using WinZip into your MyDocuments/SimCity 4/Plugins OR Program Files/Maxis/SimCity4/Plugins folder and they should appear in the game. Have fun!

If you want to use the downloads from the STEX it depends on what you download. A lot of BATs use a installer, just follow its instructions (IF you are running windows ...).

However some lots and BATs are coming with a zip-file - extract it to the above mentioned directories.

Don't put everything in that folder but create subfolders - following function and/or creator of the download. Otherwise your plugin folder will become VERY crowded and chaotic in a very short time - believe me I know what I am saying, I am trying to keep my plugins below 1 gig for months (with more or less success).

Read the readme - files if there any (most of the time there are). Growable Lots grwo as their name imply, so they don't appear in the menus. Most ploppable Lots will be in your Parks&Plaza - Menu (it takes hours to thru mine) but some lots will appear in other menus where you would not expect them because their creator's parks&plaza menu is at least as crowded as mine.

Welcome to Simtropolis.

Sim1234 has it right.  Lots go in in the my documents plugin file and dats go in the program files plugin file.  There is a tutorial on this site that explains everything in more detail.  If, after unzipping the file, it has an auto installer then you just need to click on it and it will place the files where they need to be.  At least most of the time.

Try doing a forum search on brown boxes as buildings.  This issue has been addressed thourghly before.
