Delete cache files?

My mods aren't working so I'd like to delete the cache files, but don't know which files are on the safe to delete list. Does anyone know, or do I need to just reinstall the entire game?

Not sure of the oeiginal files, it depends which version you bought and the DLC you purchased.

Since Maxis didn't make a Mod folder/section it is all mixed up and in more than one folder.  I guess they didn't design the game with mods in mind after all, instead it seems it was an afterthought.

The simlest solution will probably a complete uninstall/reinstall.
