3D modeling question

Hi all,

Been years since I played this game (9 or 10). LOL

I've been 3D modeling for years so I understand the process. I need to know what format SC4 uses for its models?

You see, I don't use Gmax or 3Ds Max. I use 3D Crafter and it will spit out quite a few modeling formats for games. What does SC 4 use so I can make a few more lots?

For the buildings  SC4 doesn't use full 3D models as such. GMAX and BAT4MAX render kind of take a picture of your 3d Model and converts it to SC4.

 

The modelling can be done with a different program, but to render the model into the game, you need either GMAX or 3DS MAX. I haven't hear that the render script has been made to any other programs.

 

As far as I know, the automata are full 3D models.
