Making models from sketchup and blender

So I realize there are lot of threads about creating your models in blender, but I am trying to recreate an actual building and the only method that I can imagine working is importing a model from Sketchup to Blender. I haven't been able to get this to work at all so far, once I try to edit the textures, the faces get all messed up and I can't figure out what the issue is.

If anyone has the link to any sketchup to blender tutorials or anything like that, it would be appreciated! Or if maybe I'm an idiot and there's a much easier way to create real life buildings for cities skylines.

There is a Sketchup Plugin in the works where you can just skip Blender all together. Do you have Make or Pro version?

Follow this thread https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/modeling-with-sketchup.837565/page-5

And the GitHub link to files and developer notes https://github.com/thomthom/cities-skylines-sketchup-tools

I'm not sure but I think support for dae will allow make users to use this plugin.

And this thread have more info for using Sketchup with Blender

Hope this helps.

Try using DAE export with the plugin. I will find out if the make version is useful and let you know. In the mean time if you have any problems, read through  the last link of my post above. There is a tutorial for getting your model from Blender to C:S in there. Make sure you UV map your model properly.
