I was wondering if the modding enthusiasm for Simcity5 is gone? Did everyone moved to Skylines? After playing it for 10 days I got so bored. Skylines is a flop to me, a shallow "city painter" with no challenge to it...

Can we get back to Simcity now? :P

SC13 is a great game ... beautiful, smooth, and challenging (if for no other reason than its bugs add an interesting twist). TBH though, just about all the basic necessities have already been provided by the moding community ... and I find those mods actually made the game much more into a city-builder, and less a simulator than before.

I still like vanilla SC13, multiplayer ... and while I haven't played C:S yet, I fully intend to, and I'm sure I'll enjoy it too. The challenge in both games, for me, isn't the simulation, but the immersion ... how can you make as realistic a city as possible, while still making it as beautiful and interesting as possible.

Still, I feel that both these games are falling short on something. I kinda wish they could get together and make a love-child :-P

Absolutely... most urgent necessities that is - traffic management (Udons), space management (BoC), public services improvements (increased modules), RCI tweakings, etc, etc. Still, I think there could be more customized zonable buildings and landmarks (despite I can´t put my "morelandmarks" mod to work :P).

Well, the sad fact is that simply by stating there are too few uploads for SC13 as far as you are concerned, you probably won't change that. :lost: You can try, but I wouldn't get my hopes too high.

I'd also like to remind you that your actual message - I'm sad that there aren't more mods for my favourite city building game SC13 - is totally sufficient and there's no need to add comments like your "Skylines is a flop to me, a shallow "city painter" with no challenge to it... Can we get back to Simcity now?". Many people here seem to be very opinionated and feel the need to bicker about what's the better game and who is right. Some even seem to have made it their personal mission or crusade to advocate for or against one game or another - you'll have made some experiences along these lines yourself, I imagine. In such an environment, comments like the one I quoted above can easily turn into "flame baits", i.e. start another round of that annoying, tiresome and totally pointless bickering.

... and to think forums was about to feedback on gaming experience and provide help and hints to other users. Could you please, as a moderator, include in those quotes my posts where I help and give constructive feedback on Simcity? You left that feeling that I´m a flamer and only post to rant, making also to believe you have selective arguments and biased opinion. I´m sorry if I ofended you by saying I don´t like Skylines (just like I did say I didn´t like the Orio mod).
