Simultaneously lay both directions of a highway or dual one-way?

Forgive my nubishness when it comes to modding, but would it be possible to create a tool for either of these options?

 

a) Both directions of a highway or dual one-way road section to be laid down simultaneously with even spacing (also with curves/freehand), or

 

b) Better snapping to curved roads to achieve the same even spacing

 

Right now I start off with zoneable roads with 2 tiles spacing and upgrade to highway when it's all done, but it's a bit trial-and-error and doesn't always work that well (especially with large bridges/long curves).

 

Any help or insight would be appreciated

This is one of my biggest requests. We really need 2 way highway pieces along with better snapping and guides for more control of our layouts. (CO don't change what you have already...just add)

 

1 track rail would be very nice too.
