different weather?

is it possible for the game to have different types of weather like snow? is this too hard to mod, or maybe too hard for dlc even? it would sure be cool if my city could take on a lot of snow, disrupt transport and make the city harder to manage. different seasons would be nice too...

what do you think?

I saw a mod yesterday that changes the default terrain textures, and someone used a snow-looking texture that looked really cool:lol:

As far as actual weather features, it's a common request and CO would certainly like to implement such a feature. Discussion is on-going though, and no plans to add such at this time.

awww ok. maybe one day it will happen. what i don't understand is this... how did you manage to make a game better than sc13? your company is not as big as maxis-ea and you said you only had 12 guys on your team to make this game. why did maxis make such a bad game when they had more money and resource than you

is there a lot of dlc to come for this awesome game? i really hope your sales are high so that this game is just the first of many in a new series, better than simcity.

i don't think EA/maxis will put out another city builder again. looks like that job is yours now! :)

13 guys and girls, actually =)

I can't speak for EA, and I don't want to bash them either. I know they had a lot of good intentions and hard working people. In my own personal opinion, I think they got caught up in feature creep.

CO has stated numerous times that one of the hardest things about building a city-builder is not getting overwhelmed with all the additional features and extra's that they would really like to add. I mean, who wouldn't want full weather systems, day/night cycles, bike lanes, 16 gazillion road types, and built-in flight simulators? haha

But our goal has been to provide you with an enjoyable game at it's basic core, and then to build from there. Will there be DLC? You bet! Paradox has a unique model of providing tons of free content and upgrades alongside paid additions. For example, CO is already working on adding in free tunnels and W2W buildings.
