Well guys this is my first post and journal, I have made a few cities so far but they never exceeded 20 thousand. With this journal I hope to make it a long term project with a natural growth sort of vibe and have it exceed anything I've done before. I aim to take my time and try to make it as realistic as the game will allow. I wish I had all the unlocks so I can start putting in trees and decoration, etc. but if you play with everything unlocked you get all the grants from all the levels and having that much money right away is boring to me, so I'm going the unlock route. Anyway i hope any of you find some enjoyment out of this as I surely will making it, any criticism is appreciated. Well without further ado I present the beginning of what will eventually become Eagrose City. Played on the beautiful map Boulder Rapids v2 by Scotland Tom.

The grand entrance to our meager township, The future is bright.

The first of our citizens settle in, it may not seem like much to them but they have internet, so that's something. Twitter blowin' up. (I forgot to go cinematic mode in a couple of these pictures)

Carol Phillips moving in with her Vespa. Where is all her stuff? Maybe she bought one of our Mega Pre-Fab Shack Timeshares.

The Industry has come to stay. high demand of laminate floors for our Pre-fabs.

Eagrose gets it's first coffee house, I can smell the delicious roast beans from my lofty mayoral house in the next city over.

Uh oh. Stiff competition, or is it another shop of the same coffee franchise?

Sometimes you gotta appreciate the little things. in 10 years we will look back and say "It all started here"

I like it. Very small but I'm sure it'll grow in the future. Love how the town needed two coffee houses lol. Must be a hyper lot!

Cheers

Thank you gents for the replies, yes indeed a hyper community is a productive community! Just a little update as all my free time has been consumed with blender and trying to create something more than a cube with some indentations on it. It turns out 3D modeling is pretty tough, who would have thought?

Growth int he township! Complete with organic food to accompany the dual coffee houses. The township may be home to some of these hipsters I keep hearing about. Those horribly tacky lime green villas certainly give credence to the theory.

Newly settled Lesalia Hills, The great suburban area of our time. Nearly two stone throws from the nearest industrial area, and soon, permeated by so many trees that you'll never even notice.

Really like how you recreated that linear suburb (even though I hate the concept IRL  )
