I hate the EA registration system

You know... reselled games' serial numbers might not work... I can't get into the SimCity 4 Website because the previous owner did not delete his account...

I know I have a correct serial #, but EA says it's invalid. I can't mail it, and I can't get in touch with EA. What could I do?

I hate to break this to you, but I think that you are screwed.  If EA won't talk to you, then you have no valid way to prove that you actually own a copy of the game free-and-clear.

Are you sure that EA won't talk to you?  I had registration problems with EA also (mine were slightly different) and I found tech support to be very nice and accommodating.  I don't know if you have contacted tech support yet, but you might give it a try.

Welcome to simtropolis! Hope you enjoy it here. Yes, the registration system does suck. But if it doesn't work then try e-mailing their tech support, and if that doesn't work then look on your box because it should have a number you can call for help. If that doesn't work then you could try sending it to them or talking to the shop which sold it too you. But the online tech support should work no matter what, just go to their website and look around the spport pages.

I think to get the most out of the registration system, you need a buy a brand new copy that has never been owned ever, not a resold/pre-owned one. Then again, some odd pre-owner might had never registered.

If EA won't speck to you then apart from getting a new copy of the game there is no legal solution to this problem. I recommend you just keep trying to get hold of them as I would be suprised if they ignored you forever.
