Profile Options?

Hi, I haven't been around here in a long time...

Is there a way to have new posts in threads you have posted to be automatically emailed to you? I think all of the other forums I visit have this an many more options available, but I can't seem to find it on Simtropolis.com.

Hey astotzer,

Yes, something like that is possible use the Subscribe button above threads to subscribe to threads,
and the subscribe to this author button under your avatar to subscribe to a person.
Within that you can select, if you want it to got to your email or your subscription inbox (located in the Personal Section)

Thanks a lot. I was hopeing for an option in the profiles, but I'll get used to this.

If the topic you subscribe to is a hot topic with a lot of replys being posted, your inbox might get flooded.  Then again, your email client might think that it is spam, so make sure that you tell it that it isn't spam.

True. You have to be careful on that. I subscribe to my own city journal so the comments I get on it will automatically be sent to my email inbox. It is a useful, and great tool to have on the bulletin board. I would recommend it. It's good for catching those updates that you might've missed on a favorite city journal of yours, or good for following a favorite thread that you have.
