SimCity 4 On Linux/Laptop?

Hi there, just wondering if possible to get sim city on laptop on ubuntu?

 

I know its possible.

 

But it acured to me that when I had a xp pc, I needed a graphics card, as i installed it but nothing loaded, this time same thing but on a ubuntu under play on linux(CD)

 

So was wondering it was because it was a ubuntu, or is it cause I dont have a  great graphics card?

 

Struggled to get sim city on win 7 even in xp mode on my pc so god knows how it will work on ubuntu lol.

Well, I am currently running Ubuntu 14.10 (Soon to be 15.04) with wine-1.7.34 on my desktop.  There is a topic called Linux corner that would help you out.

 

I run SC4 with my system, and it doesn't much matter what computer you have as long as you have enough memory and a graphics card.  I am able to run in directx, opengl, and software rendering at will.  Here is a copy of my directx script:

My wine environment is 32-bit and decor is XP.  However, it runs the same with a 64-bit prefix.
