Getting maps to work after creating in SC4 mapper

I have the latest version of SC4 (the version from the App store) and the SC4 mapper.  Installed NAM, no problem.  Have a few other plug-ins, no problem.

If you place the map file in the SC4 container folder, then load a blank region and press control+R it should allow you to see it. I usually just use my Windows computer to render the region since it can actually access the filesystem though.

OK, this was a draft post and just realized I must have hit submit before finishing.  The first post makes no sense.

 

Here is more detail.  After loading an SC4 file in the Mapper and saving it.  I load it no problem in SC4.  However, each city asks to reconcile the borders, and when it does, I get all water around the border.  Attached is an example of what I mean when I loaded Eaton from the STEX library here.  Should I just not reconcile the edges?
