Patch Update

I have not played my sc 4 rush hour now for almost 2 years so I reinstalled and tried to update the patch to the new version so I can download the NAM however after downloading it says the patch could not be installed. Any ideas to what the problem might be

Assuming you installed from a CD, you might check to be sure you tried the correct patch that matches your game version. If you check the properties of the game's exe file (located in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Maxis\SimCity 4\Apps folder, it could either be 1.1.610 or 1.1.613. If the first, then you'll need the SKU1 patch. If the second, you'll need the SKU2 patch.

 

Note: If you have used any non-authorized game files (such as no-CD cracks), the game will not update.
