    Yes! Wharfcliffe is back above the 500 mark! Also, here is a short description of the school for you.

    wharfcliffenew5ij.jpg

    Here you can see the Academy (The two orange buildings and football field) on a very sunny day. If you're wondering why it's so big, Wharfcliffe is actually run by the University of Greater St. Joseph and in addition to housing Elementary and High School grades, it also functions as the Universty's downtown campus. There are kids learning to read in the same building as students studying for PhDs! Of course, not being a public school there is a tuition fee, but that also means that their extracurricular programs are first-rate. It is almost brand-new, and was built as part of the St. Joseph Downtown Expansion Project.

    In high school sports (at least in Illinois) all the playoff games and championships are played in one city.

    Therefore, each of you may submit a picture of the arena in your city that you would use if your city wins the right to host playoffs.

    That is to say: I will have a contest to see which one of your cities hosts the playoffs.

    Show pics of your city, school/arena, and list qualifications that make your city perfect for hosting games.

    HAHA yes!  Myon City falls so we're the only team with a 3-0 record!  18.gif

    I personally prefer beating someone in the finals when they're at home... it's more painful for them that way... 3.gif

    EDIT: Ah, but fischbob, if your extra-curricular programs are first rate, why are you losing to a PUBLIC school?  HAHA!  18.gif

    P.S. I'm really a nice guy 1.gif, but I tend to take sports a little seriously... 21.gif

    I said the programs are first-rate. The students, however, are much less reliable.

    I'm ready to see us beat Rockton...they haven't been doing very well, so it should be fine.

    Also, I plan to have photos of my first class sports facilities up soon...I am currently working on some redevelopment projects in town to make room for the new high school sports complex. Currently all games are being played in the Olympic centers, since they won't be used until mid-2020. (It's 2019 in Athenia)

    Anyways, Go Statesmen! The star team of all of Athenia.

    Seems that tomorrow you'll owe us two weeks worth, airmale, I wanna see by how much we beat Myon! 17.gif

    Looks like you did so by -2 points!17.gif

    It seems that every game that MCC has played would be exciting to watch as they all were close games with the scores being only 4 points apart at the max.

    Wharfcliff has some momentum going in their favor.  They beat a team that was at about their level on the road.

    I may have a few venues that would like to host the tournament/championship.

    BTW:  What game are you using?

    Here is MCC HS along with the soccer/football (both types of football) stadium as well as the basketball court in the building next to the school. The city includes numerous hotels where people coming to watch can stay at, as well as 2 light rail stations withing walking distance of the school. (both just outside the picture) There is also a parking garage withing walking distance of the school area as well. (light peach colored building on right side of picture) Pictures of the city can be found in my CJ. (Page 18, middle-bottom, and in a day or 2, page 19 bottom.)

    Props to Westerfield on the upset victory, and Rockton Central barely pulls out the win.

    dtjsimtrop: The game I am using is one of the NCAA games (by EA, I believe).

    1. Booyah!
    2. Ouch.
    3. Ouch.
    Wharfcliffe's still in there! I think we're 4-3... so... It's all good.

    Laura Scott Memorial High School

    Home of the LSHS Statesmen

    Atlantis, Athenia

    Year: 2018

    Host of the 2020 Summer games

    LSHS voted in top 50 High Schools in the World

    State of the Art LSHS Gymnasium and Conference Center Seating for 10,000 stadium style. Conference seating for 7,500. Banquet seating for 5,000

    Central location. Mass transit within walking distance of school and stadium(s). (Bus, EL rail, subway, city taxi)

    Airport a short ride from school.

    Underground and above ground parking for 10,000 cars at the stadium and the school.

    LSHS Statesmen - Undefeated, giant fan support.

    The school is a short walk from hotels, restaurants, shops, Government Square, and other tourist attractions.

    Atlantis is the capital city of Athenia

    Photos: (Taken in Fall of 2018 and summer of 2017 (construction photo from this past August)

    The Scott Education Complex, including LSHS, and Madeline Scott Memorial City College

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/Atlantis_LSHSGym.jpg alt=Our Gym />

    Our gym and conference center, where banquets, awards ceremonies, and the playoffs would be held.

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/Atlantis_crosswalk.jpg alt=Crosswalk />

    We value public safety in Atlantis, and with the amount of traffic expected to be caused by the playoffs, there are many pedestrian overpasses installed for the Olympics that will keep all of your road crossings safe and easy.

    <ahttp://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/Atlantis_StatesmenparkUC.jpg alt=UC />

    Atlantis is proud of our Statesmen, and regretfully, during a massive redevelopment project, the historical Statesmen Field met the wrecking ball and is now part of the government square. Currently, LSHS is working hard with the city to complete construction of the new Statesmen Park which is expected to be completed and ready for this upcoming year's football season.

    We thank you for taking time to review our school's portfolio of why we should host this year's playoffs. We hope you will consider LSHS as the host school.

    Thank you,

    Scott Harris, Sr., Director of Athletics, Laura Scott High School
