Problems with a scale.... I have a crash

Seems kind of strange that this would be happening when you zoom in. Such crashes would only happen to me when I would zoom out.

 

Have you set the game to run on just one core of your CPU? This is absolutely essential to avoid crashes like this. To force the game to run on just one CPU--assuming you have the disc version of the game--right-click on the SC4 desktop shortcut and click on Properties. Go to the shortcut tab and you will need to add some commands to the text field marked Target. Go to the very end of the path, and after the quotes, hit the spacebar, and then add the following: -CPUCount:1. This will force the game to only use one core of your CPU.

The other possibility is using HD textures with software rendering.
