Single car trains

For my largest city, I am putting in a tiny monorail system like the miami metromover. So i need to have 1 car trains.
I already made the skins and put them on a monorail i found on a japanese site. Here is a picture of what i made:

Anyways, i'd like to know what you change to make only the front show up and not have cars.

Edit: does anyone notice something strange about this picture? Here's a hint. look across the street at the lady.

Wel have a look at my trams, they only have the engine and no cars. This is a screenshot from the iLive Reader:

    problem: mine doesnt have a exemplar file. What should i do?

    I also did this thing too, it uses the same model as the last one. I dont want to put this one on the STEX because i dont know if i have to email the guy who made the model(APTX), since i dont know if i can use it for my own stuff and release it.

    Single-car trains can only be based on buildings. Like police cars appear at police stations and go somewhere.

    Beside a suitable Exemplar, you need a LUA-script for creating a new occupant group and describing the vehicle behavior. The BSC-SFBT tram MOD is a good example. You need to set the right LayerFilter value in the Exemplar for monorail and to change follow_lightrail by follow_monorail in the script.

    Just had a look at NOB's tramset. He made the disappear cars by adding a alpha to the cars, which is just black.

    The way we used on our tram set makes it possible to add single-car trains while masking the passenger cars overrides the default passenger trains.

    There is a third way - much easier and only possible for heavy rail: Creating new track-checkers (the small green things by default). Just clone the track-checker exemplar, change name and model ID and at last the instance ID of the exemplar itself.

    alright. Im gonna check all this out now. I like the black alpha idea. But i guess i oughta go deeper and use a different one so i wont mess up my heavy rail.
