Pruitt Igoe Demolition Live Stream

Hi,  I use simcity as a tool for reconstructing existing or hypothetical urban/ architectural typologies. Below are progress updates of my current reconstruction of the infamous Pruitt Igoe housing development that was demolished in 1972 in St Louis.   It utilizes a number of mods, one being project orion.   My intention for the project is to recreate its demolition as a live stream.

Filling out of surrounding St Louis to a reasonable accuracy. Neighouring city's extended 3K border can be seen in the top left corner (building rendering isn't as detailed).

Wow, man, that's really cool! It looks just like the real deal. I'll be looking forward to seeing your progress on this, and the eventual demolition. ('Cause, seriously, who doesn't love destruction?)

Will you be doing any other projects besides this one? I'd love to see more of your work.

Thank you. That will certainly encourage me to continue. Its been great testing out the new mods, breathed a new life into the game.

 

It would be really cool to live stream the demolition, hopefully I can make that happen. Whether anybody is watching... who knows. 

 

I've built my hometown of Canberra with the vanilla build of the game. I would like to revisit that now I can plop specific building typologies.
