For the film buffs among us, the TIFF has been known to pick the Oscar winners.

British films featured this year.

Feel free to add more articles as they come to hand.

This little festival, now in its 39th year, has now become comparable to the Cannes festival in its own way.

Wait...What!?! You guys up there in the great frozen north get films? Well, I guess you can now that they are mostly digital. The film strips no longer snap from the cold. eh?

Looks like a real nice line up. I could see wanting to view around a half dozen of the films.

The TIFF started years ago as an art film event, but it slowly expanded over the years as more and more interest was shown, especially when things became a little dicey going over to Europe for the Cannes event.  It is a lot cheaper to get to T.O. than to a town on the Cote d'Azure for people from L.A..  Cheaper for hotels, too.

I was living in Toronto when it started as a small event in the Yorkville area.  Now you get a "red carpet" event.
