Waterfalls - are they possible ???

There's whales in the rivers i make. It would be nice if the sc4 had salt and fresh water alternatives.

All this seems really confusing to someone like me, so can't anyone find a stress free way? Well, you can get waterfalls which look perfectly like the in-game water and you should check this out on 'youtube' type in sims 2 waterfalls or similar and it looks really easy but when I tried it, it obviously didn't work! So, can anyone help?
