Making BATS with SolidWorks?

Hello. I have a small question for you all: Would it be possible to design BATs on other CAD software, such as SolidWorks?

 

I hardly have any experience / knowledge of the BAT tool (In most cases, I even fail to install it properly), but I am quite proficient and comfortable in Solidworks. I've always wanted to design custom buildings for SC4, so I'm wondering if this is finally my chance.

 

First of all, I would assume that the Lot Editor only accepts file types that can be exported from the BAT tools (if anyone could tell me what that file type is, that would be helpful). If SolidWorks can export to one of those file types, then I should be good. Of course, this is also assuming that Lot Editor works with CAD files.

 

If someone could give me a list of the file types that Lot Editor accepts, that would be wonderful. Also, any other ideas are appreciated.

You can, but you will have to export to a 3ds file. When imported into gmax/max you would need to attach the textures.
