Hello everyone,

I downloaded the Diggis ponds and stream sets and have an awesome canal/pond made. I went and downloaded the DAMN mod and it has screwed up everything entirely.

Is there a way to uninstall? I couldn't find one.

I also followed the instructions to the letter 6 times to install everything correctly and it does not happen.

Help please

Carl

That mod is by Daely, who generally hangs out at SC4Devotion.  Why not take a look at the support threads over there?

DAMN that DAMN mod!

I never use it because it is too buggy and finicky.

Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Maybe it is me, but I am in general suspicious of code that I didn't write.  DAMN seem too damned complex.

Yeah, I installed it several times, read the readmes and help file to try and understand it. Then I downloaded the SC4 Launcher app and for some reason DAMN started to work some. It is a sophisticated app that takes time to get use to. It also helps to get your plugins in order so your system doesn't bog down and CTDs start to happen. DAMN is somewhat useful to help organized those pesky plugins. Ha.

One thing that would be on my wish list is a region or game style manager that only loads what you need  for that session. An example would be you might want to create a scene using various terrain mods that is proper for a sub-tropical river. The region that I am using is NHP Jacksonville, a monstrous size region that has potential, yet offers areas for seaports, resort areas, farming and recreational opportunities. I don't know if you can create "sessional" menus or sub-menus. When you use the menu building feature, you start to realize after building that DAMN will become too "bulky" to be practical. There are several add-on apps or mods for SC4 that makes the game more enjoyable or sometimes frustrating depending on the creator's intent and design.

I have seen posts where users suggest PIMs that have not worked for me. Others have suggested to have several plugin folders for various game playing sessions. I have also read where some of Diggis stuff may not be compatible with what you've might have already loaded.
