On Cosmos tonight...

(Yes, this is Simcity (2013) related!)

 

On Cosmos: a Spacetime Odyssey tonight they had an episode on global warming (let's not get into a discussion about that specific topic here, you can go to general off-topic for that) but on the show they posited what it would look like if we could see carbon monoxide gas coming out of machines, showing it coming out of exhaust pipes and planes - they colored the gas purple. 

 

When it showed factories belching purple smoke into the sky I immediately said to my wife "Oh!  It's an Omega plant!"
