    Thanks, i needed the input.

You know wha it is abotu those textures.

They look to real for the game, tey were captured from a pic i took and condensed into a smaller image for the texture. They look to real for the cartoon look of the game.

I would try recoloring that first one of the funky brick styles - the gray brick one, to shades of red. That might work for a good looking brick road. I think it's main problem is the gray color. That one looks most promising, because the bricks seem solid and well aligned in that one. The others have the bricks at weird angles that are out of place for serious pavement. Cobblestones would be even cooler however.

The other two were cobblestone staht was condensed so it didnt look giant in the game. I thought it looked good. But too real. I am going to find another texture though because i retried all of these out in the game, and they just aren't satisfying, hehe.

That first grey brick one is nice although id prefer rounded stones not rectangular , although you do what you like Im just typing out loud :)

Maybe another thought as to why they dont look quite right it might be the brightness, have you tried reducing it on the texture and having another look? just a thought :)

if it turned out to be a fairly easy thing to do, would it be possible to get another mod with all dirt instead of all brick before you look into making a cobble stone street? if you want to finish that one first, i understand, but if it's a simple fix, it would be nice to have.

Stranger: I do like your ideas, but the textures i picked out were to real life looking for the game, and to bright like cow said.

Cow: I can make that mod in less than 30 minutes for you, but not this afternoon, it will have to be alter tonight. I will get it on my site though.

I'm also awfully looking for such a mod, that change streets forever into red brick streets (AND NOT WHEN LOW RESIDENTIAL DENSITY are wealthy).

I was testing with swamper77 (if this is the correct name, I'm doing it on the fly), uni streets. The grass changed into a deeper sidewalk (and looked nice, BUT the Trolca OR that other Red Brick mod, wasnt working anymore, since it needed that grass along a street. So I removed Uni.

All that I ask is a texture (preferabely red brick) that changes street WITH A deeper sidewalk, so that Swamper77's Uni file also works. So when I'm dragging streets, it would become instantly red brick and (I repeat myself) NOT WHEN SOME WEALTHY IDIOT moves in into a nice low -density suburb.

I can't see any pics here, but I know for sure, the TOPICstarter had the same in mind. Please finish that mod!

Or would some moderator/ bug tester who (maybe) got that file, send it to me?

    Thx

I made such a modd. It works in all wealths except None. So if something is zoned or plopped onto it, it'll be brick. Otherwise, it's dirt.
