Custom Content for Macs

First off, I am overjoyed beyond words that SC4 is now available to Mac users. 
 
My question is as the title states. I have tried to download and use programs that will switch some of the custom content with .exe to files that I can use, such as Wine, but to no avail. 3 main points I am unsure about:

• Is there any content that currently works for Macs that is worth getting?
• Is it worth trying to convert .exe files to files I can use? If so, what program should I use and how?
• Now that a Mac version of SC4 is widely available, will content start to be created or updated specifically to work on Mac? How soon might this happen?

NAM is the most basic upgrade you need to SC4.

 

For the EXE files it actually best to utilize a Windows computer or interface (Wineskin, Wine, Crossover, etc) to run the installers, then move the files to the plugins folder.

 

Only the DLLs are not compatible with Macs.  Some details of some plugin sets are not fully compatible (see the stickied post about running on an Intel Mac for details).  Also, for the App Store version your plugins will be in ~User/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.simcity4.appstore/data/documents/sim city 4/Plugins
