Plugins never work on Mac?

Hi, I currently have SimCity 4 with the Rush Hour expansion. I have a Macbook Pro with retina display currently running on mountain lion. I've read all these tutorials, all saying to drag and drop your files into the "Plugins" folder but it doesn't seem to do any change to my current game.

None of the plugins work...

May someone help? Has anyone EVER been successful in installing a plugin and make it work?

1) Which version of the game are you running?  The DVD version or the App Store version?

2) No DLLs will ever work on Macs, as they don't use Libraries.

3) Plugins Work, we just need to make sure they are in the correct places.

You're probably using the wrong plugins folder. The one you want is located at User/Library/Containers/com.aspyr.simcity4.appstore/data/documents/sim city 4/Plugins

What about for the Steam version?

I'm not sure, but I would assume it would be within the Applications folder within the home folder.   Otherwise under Home/Library/Application Support/Steam/StemApps/Common/Sim City 4 Deluxe

I'm not certain, since I haven't downloaded it yet, but that is where most Steam Apps end up.
