Looks wonderful as usual!

It sucks that your laptop was stolen but hopefully you will rebuild your region to its former glory.

Not only is your update delightful, it also made me quite hungry for pastries. You know, if it wasn't for pastries, I would weigh half as much as I do. They are so yummy! Now I must go find me some!

    Dear Friends,

Nardo69, thank you for your comment! Well, I did only lot editing, those broderies are to be found in one of the BSC prop packs, though I have no idea in which one. If you have all of them, look for "D66_Garden ornament" in the LE. Thanks again for stopping by, it's always such a pleasure to read your comments!

TmiguelT, nice to see you again! The building was designed by "Pictet et Rouault" architects bureau. Glad you like it! Here you can see the presentation they prepared  for me in order to get the permission to build it in Belleville.

threeswept, thank you so much for your comment! Such a pity that your CJ is lost! Yes, I looked as well, and I can't find it. The page says "No journals found belonging to threeswept"... Sad, sad, sad...

Amthaak, thanks a lot for your support, merci beaucoup!

jacqulina, thank you! I'm very pleased you liked all those pastries!

John Kirby, thank you for your comment! Yeah, I'm trying my best to rebuild the city, it was a real tragedy that everything was lost... Anyways, thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again!

Schulmanator, thanks a lot for stopping by! Well, one good thing is that they don't use trans fats and all those other terrible things at "Brioche" - all their ingredients are 100% organic! Nice place to indulge in a delicious mille-feuille...

Thank you so much for all these wonderful comments! Hope to see you soon!

    Yours sincerely,

    Simbourgeois

It was a very sad moment when I read in the newspapers that Willy Ronis died on September 12. Ronis, along with Robert Doisneau and Henri Cartier-Bresson, were among France's great photographers who emerged after World War II. Belleville pays a tribute to this extraordinary personality by organizing an exhibition at the Museum of Photography.

I never, ever went out without my camera, even to buy bread.

    willyronis2a.jpg

    willyronis2d.jpg

In an interview with AFP last July, Ronis celebrated for this emblematic black-and-white 1957 shot of a couple kissing with Paris at their feet (Les Amoureux de la Bastille), said: "Just as I was about to shoot the picture, the young man kissed his girlfriend on the forehead."

I never went to the rich districts. I was interested in popular life.

I know...it is sad. But, since I've essentially recreated it a few times through the years due to computer changes, etc, it wouldn't be the same as it started. Also, with the old SimCityBrasil gone (it was showcased there, as well), it is to be found nowhere - c'est la vie. 15.gif

Ok, enough about me...what a great exhibition and dedication to Willy - lovely storyline, as always.

    Dear Friends,

Amthaak, thank you so much for your comment, merci beaucoup!

Schulmanator, thank you for your support! And enjoy your pastries!!!

threeswept, thanks a lot for your comment! Yeah, it seems that they've removed all the old CJs... I looked for some other which I liked very much (like Olympia by SAC), but I couldn't find them. Sad...

John Kirby, thanks for stopping by! I'm really glad you like Belleville!

Thanks again for all your comments!

Belleville is a truly cosmopolitan city, and this time I wanted to show you the British community theatre in Belleville 19.gif

    imperial3a.jpg

    imperial3b.jpg

    imperial3c.jpg

    imperial3d.jpg

The Imperial Theatre was built in 1912 and it opened to the public on September 19, 1913. It was a subject of a special treaty between Pays-Beau and the British Empire. What I like the best about it is that the funding still comes from Her Majesty's purse even though the UK is no longer an empire... So no expenses on my part 16.gif

    imperial1a.jpg

    imperial1b.jpg

They've recently renovated it, so it's a pretty nice place to spend an evening 19.gif

    imperial2a.jpg

    imperial2b.jpg

    imperial2c.jpg

Yes, yes, you can find there only British plays... What to do... Well, but I don't mind as long as the Queen pays for it 9.gif

    imperial4a.jpg

    imperial4b.jpg

    imperial4c.jpg

Though if you want to meet me in that area, I'll be most probably on the other side of the street... enjoying a cup of Earl Grey tea, listening to nice music, and observing the way how we all act in the play called "Real Life" 2.gif

wow. I'm just speechless. i can't even describe all the awesomeness that i have witnessed. You completely blew my mind with all those buildings.

Let's start with the Museum of Photography. It is a completely marvelous lot. It fits well with w2w and Paris buildings. It is just magnificent.

Now the second building, it is one of the most beautiful buildings that i have ever seen. the complete lot is just amazing. the texture, the flora and the props make it unique and outstanding. it might look small but the person who says "the bigger the better" is just completely wrong on this case. Oh and i forgot Cafe imperial looks Awesome !

I imaging myself sitting there and having a nice view of the Imperial Theater.

wow i think i could say more things now but i don't want you to get bored with thousands of pages describing how beautiful is Belleville. 9.gif

The theater is ideally situated on the tram line and has been renovated with a sumptuous interior. I am ready to see the adaptation of Edith Piaf's La Vie en Chocolat!

What a great cj. I can't believe I've never been here before. I was surprised to go to the start and find it began in 2004! It was a great accomplishment to rededicate yourself to this. Especially after losing it all. Good stuff!
