Oh!  That has been around for some time.  We have a community college up here that specializes in that and Disney often hires its graduates.  Sheridan College at Oakville, Ontario.

That is one discipline that could stand some beefing up, especially when the 128-bit machines come out.  Have you looked at current packages like Ogre, Open-inventor, and some of the later stuff under development?  Rendering in any kind of decent frame rate can be quite a challenge.

I think you might find a hot-bed of computer graphics in the Graphics-Lab at the University of Waterloo as well.  This lab was well established in the 1980s.  We used to use the frame buffers there to watch Dr. Who.

Well, I basically planned to specialise in 3D-modelling and animation (riging, the animation process) and maybe also VFX. I luckkily got the chance to ahve some top.notch programmes like zBrush. Maya and Cinema4D. I already talked to some actual 3D Artists mainly working at movie companies like Dreamworks. I did not hear of that college in Ontario but I know that CalArts in Valencia, CA does the same. However, these school often take a lot of money (for CalArts it would be 1400.ooo $ in total) which is simply not realisable for me. If you have some insider tips or tips, I'm open to anything :D

Maya is a very good package.  If you have a copy of it, make the most of it.  I am not a good enough artist to make use of such a package, but I did have it for a short time.  Being on Linux now, I have Blender but it is more difficult than i care to work in any more.  I've been retired from active work in computer areas now since 2003 when I turned 65.  One does get tired.
