Terrain based land value

I'd like to see some terrain-based land value in the game.  Waterfront and hillside property have the same value as that with no nice views.  Heck, you can have a trailer park with a view to die for a few blocks from a land-locked luxury district.  Doesn't make a lot of sense.

Maybe they could beef up the value increase from parks placed near a hillside or a shoreline.

That sounds like a fantastic idea!

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

It does sound like a great idea :) but I'm pretty sure (at the moment) that people only care about offline mode coming out and finally get the game they want.

Just an uninteresting person that plays video games for your falsified amusement.

If you look at the pre-release vids, location-based land value was originally in the game. They took it out for some reason before the final game came out.

I know.

They probably couldn't get it to work in time.

Hopefully they'll patch it in later.

Yeah, what got me thinking about it was building a high wealth district for my city.  I was thinking about how the wealthy don't go and settle a place just because it has parks and plazas.
