Does My Snow Look Correct?

Hey guys, I have just installed the Columbus Texture Mod and it's truly amazing. By far the best terrain mods I have found. Anyways, one of the options is for snow, which I believe I have installed correctly, but when I load a map that uses snow the transition of the snow to the surrounding textures is kind of jagged and hard. I am not sure if this is how it is supposed to look or not, all the photos I can find of it are really tiny and far away I can't really determine what the edging of the snow looks like. I have attached a little picture of what I am talking about, I hope this helps. I would upload a full screenshot but its larger than the site will allow

 

I am only using this and a different rock mod for terrains. Even without the custom rock mod the snow looks the same. I have tried downloading the mod from a few different sources, and while some have different variations of the files, they always have the same transitions. If this is correct, does anyone know of a way to make it look better? I tried using the snowcapped version and its got the same issue. I do have a lot of mods installed, like a lot... I'm not sure how to tell if it's something else conflicting...
