Help with installing MAPP

I am looking for some fairground/amusement park rides for my city, I found the Modular Amusement packs (1 of the links below)

 

 

But when I install it, it goes through the installer and says all installed fine, but no files actually install, when i watch the text it seems to say it skips creating the MAPP folder in plugins and goes straight to an uninstaller...

 

Has anyone got these to work or know of any other amusement rides that do work?

If you have SC4 installed on D:\ you should check your C:\SimCity4\Plugins sometimes soem files install there. I have the Modular Amusement either and this it what happend to me If you enter the game you'll find the park pieces in your menus (health, fire, misc transport and police)

Thanks for the reply. I am using on a mac, I have tried installing to lots of different locations, searched my plugins folder and also searched my mac HD for any of the file names, nothing appears...

 

Any ideas?

Have you checked this thread? I presume you've installed add-ons prior to attempting the MAPP and are likely aware of the difference in functionality with .exe installers when used on a Mac but if you haven't then this article should help...

Have you checked this thread? I presume you've installed add-ons prior to attempting the MAPP and are likely aware of the difference in functionality with .exe installers when used on a Mac but if you haven't then this article should help...

Hi mike,

Yes, I have installed lots of custom content/add ons, all work fine.

Just when I try to install the MAPP amusement rides nothing seems to install, there are no files. Can't think what else I can be doing wrong, is there anyway I can get hold off the actual files, as in after they have been installed?
