Game not loading properly

Hi, I'm struggling with add mods to my game, I extract the files and put them in simcitydata folder.

After this I go to load my game and the launcher pops up with no problems, I click the play button and it loads onto a blackish screen with the writing 'server' in the top corner.

 

Before I added the mods after pressing play the game would show the maxis title, but now its as if the game skips that bit and tries to load but stops a split second afterwards.

 

Sorry if I don't make any sense, is anyone able to help me? Am I adding the mods in the wrong place etc? I've modded my sims 3 for years and I am able to solve problems with that but not this lol.

Nevermind, fixed it. I had two conflicting mods for the same type of building.
