Disconnected from server, check internet connection

I've recently started playing SC 2013 and while it hasn't affected my gamelplay, I am continually receiving an error that states I've been "disconnected from the server; check interenet connection" followed by a message stating "connected to server"  In an hour worth of gameplay, this may happen 15 - 20 times.

 

Please note that I have searched here as well as the EA forums and found only a few references to this issue.  The only known resolution noted so far has been to try a different router......really?

 

I am also playing on a MacBook Pro, which runs the game beautifully.  My guess was that I needed to open some ports on my router, but the game info insists that it uses the same ports as my internet browser.

 

....So, I humbly come before the ST community, fully confident that someone way smarter than me can shed some light on this annoying problem!
