Savegame issue

Ok i have this problem. My SimCity 4 is installed on D:\  but my curent region is on C;\. The problems is that due to the size of the region i am out of space on C:\ Is there any way that i can move my region to the region folder on D:\ without problems?

Why can't you simply copy the folder for the region to your regular regions folder and, if necessary, replace the folder on the C: drive with a link.  I don't see why you can't just have a link there without going to any special software.  Just make use of your file system.

    Moose i have some problems with the pc and the link it's one of the problems i know i should reinstall my windows but i'll keep it like this 4 a little while.

    I suggest spending a little time with the file system's help files.  You need to understand the variety of links in windows.  In Linux I have only two kinds: direct and symbolic.

    I suggest spending a little time with the file system's help files.  You need to understand the variety of links in windows.  In Linux I have only two kinds: direct and symbolic.

     

    And Windows has four, for twice the fun!  There are the two types that Linux has (with "direct" often called "hard"), and then there are junction points and shortcuts.  This page explains them all.

    I think XP only had two.  All this new messing about must have some obscure Microshaft purpose.  Likely some kind of NTFS lock-in.
