CTD after installing a new NAM

I installed a new NAM, 31.2, the game runs fine with it, but now i seem to have CTD everytime I put out a hospital, school, police or fire, it does not matter who made the bat, it will crash regardless. If I got back into the game and reload it then I can put out schools, hospital etc etc but then five minuttes later it will crash.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thank you.

Well, it has nothing to do with the NAM.  It does have a lot to do with the size of your Plugins tables in memory and the configuration of your machine and short-cut target.

Please tell us: Your machine configuration: Number of cores, Amount of real memory, Operating system and update status.

Also what video card you have and whether you are running hardware rendering or software.

Size of your plugins suite.  (Disk space occupied will do, even though this is irrelevant after the program has loaded).

Also, please post the image of your short-cut's target box.  There are some necessary options with newer machines.

Do you have an HD (16:9) monitor?  If so, what are the screen dimensions?

We can probably help you to fit this elephant into your bread box.

It seems that you only have 3GB of RAM. It's recommended to play SimCity 4 on a machine with 4GB RAM or more.

Especially if you're using the NAM.

It should run if you are not running anything else in the background.  Try it in full screen mode.  Just add -f to your short cut parameters.  If it doesn't work, you can revert with -w.

NAM 31.2 is a little full of itself and expects to be able to set the O/S to run with a huge user space allowance.  You might have to increase the size of your paging file.  Why are you running Vista (it is known to be a beta for Windows 7)?

I have essentially the same machine made by an OEM builder to order.  SC4 runs fine for me.  You could also try it in software rendering; -d:software
