Okay, so I tried update 6 and you're right, it is acting weirdly, but I really like the new perspective. I just wish the camera movement could be done with the mouse, so I hope that get's sorted out.

Hey thanks for trying out the cam! Yeah kinda stuck with the dragging/panning up and down. I've got to put my mod work on hold for a bit due to some website work I need to get done for someone so I'll prob get to working on this more after patch 6.0 is up and i've updated my other mods for it which will be a pain in the ass.

Can't seem to get through the panning up down issue but:

- Added Alt+Z hotkey to "Zoom to Selected Target"

- Added Numpad -/+ Zoom Out/In controls

Ok so I am beyond being able to explain the behavior, but using the package above from update 7 in a NON-sandbox game the camera allows me to go wherever I want, and even allows me to pan up/down with the mouse and move with my arrow keys (slowly but it works). But sandbox- it acts as mentioned in update 6...

Could you guys test this and let me know if you experience the same thing in nonsandbox? Thanks!

Sorry, forgot to post back. I tried it, and the controls on the numpad and the zoom-to-building are a big plus. Still driving me nuts that the scroll wheel isn't working, but hey, I don't know how to do half the stuff you do! Also, the fact you can see underground at certain angles is somewhat annoying, but like I said before, the new perspective is neat, and when you figure out how to fix the camera drag/zoom, it'll be a great mod.

Was this in non-sandbox mode? Thats what I need testing as for me nonsandbox my camera is like the citybox camera but free to roam everywhere, and thank you for doing this!

Yeah, it was in non-sandbox mode, thought it was the same in sandbox mode as well for me.

Hrmmmmm okay thanks think its something else thats affecting it then  but my nonsandbox camera seems to be totally different and pretty much what we want

I did the procedures Instructions on installation, but my game is in screen loading infinitely and does not enter in the game, what do I do wrong?? descupe my english ..

Are you using the cracked version of simcity? I have had some others contacting me with that problem and they were using the cracked version. The cracked version does not work for mods that are kept up to date due to the files we edit. If it is another reason please do reply back.

I know I asked this to another per son but figured its worth checking with you since you didnt mention, when you join the game and the camera is stuck; did you try loading/claiming another city by going to Region View -> Load/Claim

Great idea, but it doesn't work for me 

 

Specifics:

SimCity Update 5.0 <--- That's probably why

Download > Extract > Run Setup.bat

Run game, load old region: Can only rotate the camera, unable to move around at all

Try fix: In the same region, claim a new city, camera still only rotates.

Exit game, reload, start new region.

Same issue, only able to rotate the camera.

Also running the BOC Mod (Build Outside City Mod)

Sorry guys its actually most likely not something on your end. I seem to have been able to run into the issue you guys are having but bad news is I can't seem to figure out what is wrong. The setup on the two computers (mine and the one that I have the problem on) are identical to the tee but for some reason the issue persists on that computer while my computer I am completely unlocked with the camera.

I was able to go straight to playing 6.0 after updating with my old mods with the exception of BOC module caps being broken since updates break that but otherwise everything seems fine. Hope you manage to fix the issue (try having no mods in your simcitydata folder then updating and then seeing if that works and then slowly reinstall mods)
