Disable Auto Road

Not sure what you want to call it, but it has annoyed me for many years and I want to know is there a way to stop the game from auto making roads when you lay down zones? That really really really gets irritating. I don't want to go into detail is it possible or no.

Besides this being the wrong forum; if I recall correctly, there was already a hotkey to disable auto roads - I don't think this requires any mods.

If you are referring to SimCity4

 

while zoning, Click and drag out the zone and press and hold one or more of the following keys

Shift=disables street layout

Alt=Alternative Direction

Ctrl= forces One lot (biggest maxis lot is 4x4 for residential and commercial)

 you can also combine these keys together
