Hey guys...

I have always enjoyed RTS games but over the past few years I have been gaming a lot more on Consoles and have not owned a decent PC in a long time. My current PC can't even run the newest SimCity game so it is time for an upgrade. I have decided to build my first custom gaming PC and have spent around $900 in parts. Here are the parts I bought

CPU- Intel i5 3350P Quad Core

Motherboard- MSI Z77A-G45

GPU- EVGA GeForce GTX 650Ti Boost Superclocked 2GB

RAM- Corsair Vengence 8gb (2x 4GB)

HDD- Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB

SDD- Kingston Digital SSDNow 120GB

PSU- Corsair TX 650

CASE- NZXT Source 220

MONITOR- ASUS VX238H LED Monitor

I also bought a few additional fans for the case. So will this build be able to run current and upcoming RTS games at maximum settings? Or do I need to go back to the drawing board. I am looking to pick up Starcraft 2 and plan on getting Company of Heroes 2 and ROME Total War 2 once they are released.

man with those settings I forsee no problems, vid card is top notch, CPU is powerful, (mine is only a quad core asus and it plays most RTS at max settings) Pleanty of ram and lots of HDD space, though I would reccomend getting a second 2tb/3tb drive for storage later, other thn that, yeah I forsee no problems so long as your Power supply has enough power for your components.

I don't see a problem with your parts, they are quite decent, I think you can run the game nicely. I have about the same specs as yours, and it runs many things at ultra settings, so I think you are in good hands as they say.  :thumb:
