Simcity 4 just crashes, no error message. It happens during night time in the time cycle or staying in Nighttime for too long, is there a fix for this?

(CPU Affinity is set to 1 if that matters)

    Version 1.1.640.0

What do you mean by "machine description"?

By "machine description", the most important points are what type of CPU and how much memory.  Graphics card type might be interesting.

And are you using the NAM?  If so, which version?  Also, which version of Windows are you using, and is it 32- or 64-bit?

I am not sure if this is the "machine description" you are asking for but...

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 925 2.80 GHz

    RAM: 4GB

    System: Windows 7 32-bit Service pack 1

...and i am using NAM, the latest one which i think is 31.1

Have you tried adding -CPUCount:1 on your SC4 shortcut? I checked that processor and it's quad core. Try to use it as CPUCount:8. If it still crashes, then try -CPUCount:1 instead. Okay I read you already added the -CPUCount:1 on your SC4 shortcut. What type of NAM controller are you using? If it's the e-series controller, then download the 4GB patch here and follow the instructions as always. ;)

The crashes caused by the NAM can be caused by either controller.  However, the 4 GB patch by itself works only on 64-bit systems.  In NAM 31.2, the installer will be able to apply a patch to 32-bit systems.

What does that mean exactly? I have to wait for NAM 31.2?

That's the safest thing to do.  It shouldn't be too long now.  Or you could apply the 4GB patch to your system and then issue the command "bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVA 3072" in a command windows that is running as administrator.  There is a very slight possibility that this will cause some instability in your system; if it does, you can reverse the effects of this command by reissuing it but with "3072" replaced by "2048".
