Hello everyone.

I'm playing Simcity 4 for a few years now but I have the same problem every time. When I'm placing tree's when I allready started a city, the tree's are real small. I thought they had to grow, so I waited about 5 years in game but it's still not growing, not even a little.

Can someone help me? Is it normal and do I have to wait longer or does it stay little?

And is there a mod how I can make these trees grow faster?

assuming you are placing trees through the mayor mode, yes its normal for them to start small and it take longer than 5 years i do believe

you could hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift and click on the God mode button

This trick will allow Pre-Mayor God mode! even if you already established a city.

I am not afraid to push that glowing red button

I survive April 2011 PlayStation Network downed services

I could tell you those nuclear codes, but i would have to kill ya as well

I use the GTM mod, it adds the original God Mode tools along side the mayor tools, a must have in my opinion...

Oh and a tip, careful not to use God Mode trees on growable lots, it can create bugs with the lots when they grow later on...

Believe it or not, some trees take up to 30 years to reach full growth.  So 5 years isn't particularly unusual.

He's talking about a sort of cheat access, because you're not supposed to have access to the god mode tools, after you click the mayor button and start a city, hence his reference to pre-mayor mode tools. But holding down those buttons while you use the tools can be annoying, so I suggested the GTM, it's really handy

Any idea what kind of bugs? I often just paint God mode trees all over my residential areas and I use CAM and a lot of CAMpatibles.

I used to do the same, but noticed certain growable lots will get a bug and when it grows, even in a completely different region, there's a huge blob of trees covering the building. It's not an often occurrence, but I have never had a lot grow with the bug that didn't look just horrible...

I also used to use LBT Yucatan Tree controller, and it had some big giant trees, I've switched to CP Olympic mod, and haven't seen it again, but I'm very careful not to put god mode trees on my growables...
