Theoretically it is possible, but it will require some of the tools that we havent even started work on yet, as nothing animated has been made for SC4 that I know of except for a couple of effects and a couple of traffic light mods

I'm sure it would require a lot of work though.

It may be possible to animate the gondolas but the way is very tricky.

If we internally transit-enable the LOT for monorail cars but add paths for railroad vehicles, neither monorail trains nor railway trains appear on the LOT because railway traffic isn't handled by monorail tiles and monorail trains cannot use railway paths. The paths aren't used then by any regular automata, but they can be used by vehicles spawned with a LUA script (like on the SFBT tram MOD) itself. The paths have to go along the cables and to loop inside the stations on the LOT. The gondolas itself are handled as LOT-dependant railway vehicles. The transit-enabling and the paths are still incompatible and don't handle the traffic, but animated gondolas may be shown, but the transit-switch-rules (passengers can go in and out) simulate the use of the gondolas.
