Nice work Sepsis on that wooden ship. Looks great in this environment.

Maybe you can attach the file with the cossack to one of your posts as I am as Jarnomiedema (having difficulty to get out of that paper bag) and I would also appreciate it much as a stand alone statue. I have the canal set and all updates including this one downloaded from STEX already.

I don't think I have the right to attach one of SG's props, but if you've got all the canal lots you will find the horse statue prop in the Lot Editor (it's called SG_monument something)

Wow! That ship is incredible! 4000 years old!! Cool!

If you don't mind, where is the real one located?

Great job re-creating it, looks wonderful!

Great job, Sepsis! There truly aren't enough prehistorical buildings or memorials available in Simcity, aside Stonehenge ofcourse.. You did a wonderful job in creating one.. It does look a bit crowded with those threes though.. But that's just my opinion.. The open field picture above looks amazing!

Nik-nik: I downloaded the lots that Sepsis indicated had the Cossacks statue in it and once you include these lots in your plugin folder, you can easily locate it in the Lot Editor and make your own lots.. (Search for Canal or BSC, I think..) In any case, it'll be included in an upcoming update of Chaumont, you can be sure of that.. 9.gif (Thanks again for helping me out with that, Sepsis!)

Actually my ship is not a replica of the one in the picture..That's only an example of a real one..
The ship in the picture is called Ale Stenar (Ale's Stones), located in the far south of Sweden and is only about 1400 years old.

     Music in Rodina

The controversial Slovene band Laibach recently held a concert in the Socialist State of Rodina.
Sepsis, Chairman and Head of State, was specially invited by the band and very much enjoyed the gig.

     A message from Rodina

    <img align=baseline>
...The Socialist State of Rodina has recently been approached by several nations requesting of us to form alliances and take part in all sorts of hostilities.. Now let me make this perfectly clear: We are a peaceful nation and we will have no business whatsoever with imperialist Western/pro-American warmongers!! Our path is crystal clear and our only goal is to defend and spread the Revolution..

Rodina may be a small nation, but our people are strong and proud, and we could not care less about petty skirmishes between your depraved decadent empires!!...

(Excerpts from a communique issued by Nikolaj Krasjenko, the Rodinian Minister of Foreign Affairs. The speech, that was recently held in the Rodinian parliament,  was followed by standing ovations and anti-western chanting)

Hmmmm... Wasn't I reading an article recently about Rodina's plans to develop nuclear weapons?

Or was it about its large, newly discovered oil reserves?

Or maybe about the growing student and civil society movement to unseat Europe's next-to-last dictator?

Regardless, I wonder if Condoleeza Rice is following events in Rodina. May be time for another colored revolution...

Maybe the Chartreuse Revolution? The Burnt Umber Revolution?

Just in case, you better ramp up security, expel all western organizations from Rodina and cozy up to Putin, Tovarish Sepsis. Wouldn't hurt to start hiding some of those assets offshore either...

Laibach is the officially prefered music? What a change from the normally rather classical repertoire of the old USSR.
Thanks for putting my mind to rest about anyfuther problems here in CJ-world.

Also thanks for giving the link for the harbour parts.

    You know of Laibach?
I saw them live in Russia (Leningrad & Moskva) two months ago, and was invited to the VIP room afterwards, so of course they are always welcome in Rodina.. 2.gif

No, sorry not a very big fan of Laibach and will probably never be, but I bet seeing them live must be quite an experience.

The panorama is very grand, great cityplanning here in Rodina.

    Rodinian history

After crushing Napoleon's army at Berezina in 1812, the weakened Russian empire wouldn't regain its strength for several years, and during that time many regions tried to break away, though only one succeeded: The Kingdom of Rodina.
In August 1813 Rodina declared its independence after 200 years of Russian domination, without any bloodshed.
It's said that the Russian tsar Alexander I actually did not mind a sovereign Rodina, because those obstinate peasants are of no use to us anyway.

After climbing the throne the Rodinian king Jurij I immediately decided to build a monument in honour of his proud people, and seven years later Novaja Akropola (The New Acropolis) was completed.

    novajaakropola112749pd.jpg

Novaja Akropola has since then been a central venue for writers, philosophers and other intellectuals from all over Rodina
and the rest of the world..

I absolutely love the New Acropolis, Sepsis.. A very nicely combined lot.. Well done! Also, very nice to hear more of Rodina's history.. Very interesting to learn that Rodina was once a kingdom.. I would love to learn what happened between the time of the kingdom to present-day Rodina.. I for one am looking forward to more!

By the way: According to official Chaumontian documents, Napoleon never lost the battle of Berezina: it was a draw.. 3.gif
